Returns Policy

Last updated 29 July 2026

Items on Layerworks are printed to order: each one is made specifically for you after you buy it, rather than picked from existing stock.

Cancelling before it's made

If you want to cancel an order, contact the maker straight away through your order's message thread. Once printing has started, cancellation may not be possible; the maker will let you know.

Your right to cancel after delivery

Because these are made-to-order goods, the standard 14-day distance-selling "change of mind" cancellation right doesn't apply (this is the normal rule for bespoke/personalised items generally, not a Layerworks-specific limit). That doesn't affect your right to a working, as-described item. See below.

If something's wrong with your order

If an item arrives damaged, faulty, or materially different from its listing, report a problem from your orders page within 14 days of delivery to open a dispute. Include photos where possible: this speeds things up considerably.

Layerworks holds each payment until delivery, so once a dispute is resolved in your favour we can refund you promptly out of the held funds rather than having to chase the maker for the money back.

If it never arrives

If tracking shows an order is lost or significantly delayed, report it the same way from your orders page and we'll work with you and the maker to resolve it.

Your card issuer's dispute process

None of the above affects your right to raise a chargeback with your bank or card issuer if you believe that's the more appropriate route; this is a right you have independently of anything Layerworks offers.
