Intellectual Property Policy

Last updated 29 July 2026

Makers' responsibility

If you list a design for sale on Layerworks, you must own the rights to it, or hold a licence that explicitly permits commercial prints and sale. When you publish a listing you're asked to confirm this explicitly, and we rely on that confirmation.

Reporting infringement

If you believe a listing infringes your intellectual property, use the "Report this listing" link on the listing page. Please include what right you hold, a description of the infringing content, and the listing's URL. The more detail you give us, the faster we can act.

What happens next

We review every report. Where a report is well-founded we'll remove or suspend the listing, and repeated confirmed infringement by the same maker can lead to their account being suspended entirely.

If you think a takedown was wrong

If your listing was removed and you believe that was a mistake, contact orders@layerworks.net with your side of it and we'll take another look.
